Two rednecks, Bubba and Cooter, decided that they weren't going
anywhere in life and thought that they should do something about
it. After much discussion they decided that they should go to
college to try and get ahead. As part of the enrolment process
they are required to consult with a guidance counsellor who will
help them to plan their curriculum.
Bubba goes in to see the guidance counsellor first. After talking
with Bubba for awhile the counsellor advises him to take math,
history and logic.
"What's logic?" Bubba asks.
"Let me give you an example." says the counsellor. "Do
you own a weed eater?"
"I sure do." replied Bubba
"Then, using logic, I can assume you have a yard," replies
the counsellor.
"That's real good," Bubba responses in awe.
The counsellor continued, "Logic would also tell me, that
since you have a yard, you must also have a house."
"Gawl-leee!!" Bubba shouted impressed.
"And since you have a house, and a house is a difficult thing
to take care of by yourself, logic tells me that you must have
a wife."
"Sally Mae! This is incredible!" (Bubba is starting
to catch on)
"And finally, since you have a wife, logically I can assume
you are a heterosexual rather than a homosexual," says the
counsellor.
"Your dang right," said Bubba. "That's the most
fascinating' thing I've ever heard. I can hardly wait to take
that there logic class."
Bubba, proud of the new world opening up before his eyes, walked
back into the hallway where Cooter was waiting.
"What classes are ya'll taking'?" asks Cooter.
"Math, history and logic." replies Bubba.
"What's logic?" asks Cooter
"Let me give you an example, says Bubba ready to impress
with his new found wisdom.
"Do you own a weed eater?" Bubba asks.
"No," answers Cooter.
"You're a friggin' queer, ain't ya?" says Bubba.
